  15.           Reads a portable anymap as input.  Produces an X11 window
  16.           dump as output.  This window dump can be displayed using the
  17.           xwud tool.

  19.           Normally, pnmtoxwd produces a StaticGray dump file for _p_b_m
  20.           and _p_g_m files.  For _p_p_m, it writes a PseudoColor dump file
  21.           if there are up to 256 colors in the input, and a
  22.           DirectColor dump file otherwise.  The ----ddddiiiirrrreeeeccccttttccccoooolllloooorrrr flag can
  23.           be used to force a DirectColor dump.  And the ----ppppsssseeeeuuuuddddooooddddeeeepppptttthhhh
  24.           flag can be used to change the depth of PseudoColor dumps
  25.           from the default of 8 bits / 256 colors.
